Dr. Bruton is a graduate of UCC with over 15 years’ experience working as a commercial & industrial energy efficiency and LEAN manufacturing consultant. Dr. Bruton is a lecturer at CIT where he carries out industrial energy efficiency research work in collaboration with industrial partners. This work is focused on the development of intelligent energy and automation system analytics solutions. These smart manufacturing solutions have been successfully implemented on industrial energy systems as well as licenced to third parties for their application in the commercial sector. Dr Bruton’s most recent work has focused on the development of expert and machine learning centred prognostic systems to reduce production waste and associated energy consumption.
