Bayan is a doctoral researcher at the school of architecture, building and civil engineering at Loughborough University. She holds a bachelor’s in architectural engineering, and an MSc in Sustainable Buildings and Environments from Newcastle University. Bayan is an experienced architect with an interest in energy efficient housing design which her award-winning thesis: “Designing a Near Autonomous House in Palestine” made it possible. She has expanded her research in energy efficiency and is currently looking into the problem of moisture in UK dwellings. In her 3^rd year at ERBE CDT, her research project is about diagnosing root causes of surface condensation and mould growth in homes.
