Dr. O’ Sullivan is Director of the Intelligent Efficiency Research Group (IERG) at UCC, which focuses on improving energy efficiency in industry and buildings through the use of advanced analytics and automation systems. Dr. O’Sullivan formerly led an energy consultancy business and has maintained industry links since returning to academia, working with a number of industries including working with consortiums such as IERC (International Energy Research Centre) which includes Bord Gais, Bell Labs, Bilfinger and UTRC (United Technology Research Centre) amongst its members.
