Email
Mohammad joined MaREI as PhD student in 2023, and works for Dublin Energy Laboratory (DEL), located in Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin). Mohammad graduated in MSc. from Jundi-Shapur University of Technology, Dezful, Iran. He has focused on cooling photovoltaic (PV) modules by means of various methods include: phase change material (PCM), nanofluid, thin film of water, mounting fins and employing porous media. Then, he followed his interest in the applications of solar energy and performed experimental projects on evacuated tube solar water heating systems in hot climate of Khuzestan province, Iran. Also, he studied micro-encapsulated phase change materials (MPCM) to investigate the effect of the synthesis procedure on their thermal characteristics.
Optimal demand side management of domestic water heating using highly efficient solar heat energy collection and storage

Mohammad is now a PhD student at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) under the Energy Resilience and the Built Environment (ERBE) programme. He is following his final thesis entitled “Optimal demand side management of domestic water heating using highly efficient solar heat energy collection and storage” under supervision of prof. Brian Norton, prof. Aidan Duffy and Dr. Philippe Lemarchand. The main focus of the thesis is to find a solution to promote the thermal performance of solar water heating systems for temperate climatic condition during winter.
