Jaime is a first-year PhD student dedicated to enhancing building performance by refining the process and outcomes of post-occupancy evaluation (POE). Her research aims to make POE more effective and broadly adopted, with the ultimate goal of improving building performance and reducing energy consumption.
Jaime brings over 18 years of industry experience in environmental consultancy, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and climate risk within the commercial real estate sector. Her extensive background provides a real-world perspective to her academic pursuits.
Jaime earned a MSc in Environmental Design and Engineering from University College London (UCL) in 2011, graduating with distinction. Her master’s research included a post-occupancy evaluation of “One Brighton,” an innovative sustainable development project.
Outside academia, Jaime enjoys playing beach volleyball. It’s a fabulous sport for fun, exercise and to meet new people.
